Sunday, October 1, 2006. The Yvonne Johns Kidney Foundation joined the National Kidney Foundation Georgia for a Walk to raise awareness and funds. Participants in the event either donated or asked for sponsorship donations to go to the National Kidney Foundation.

It was a beautiful day for a walk. Friends, family and supporters took part in the event. The day was productive, raising funds, awareness and signing up volunteers.

"Walking for a great cause, I was overjoyed to have the support of my friends and family for the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia Walk. The money raised during the event was phenomenal!" Yvonne Johns, founder of the Yvonne Johns Kidney Foundation, stated. (Donations graciously accepted: http://www.yjkfoundation.org/yjkf_help.html.)
